Counsel for the accused Lawrence Myers Q.C. and Zack Myers (Junior Counsel) conducted a 3 day trial involving cross examination of the complainant and defence evidence from the accused.
The Result
The accused was acquitted on a R v W.D. analysis, while the provincial court judge also pointed to issues with the complainants testimony under cross examination from Lawrence Myers that led him to believe their with issues with some of her evidence. An Acquittal was entered.

The Charges
Mr. Tsang is charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking arising from a motor vehicle stop on December 25th, 2012.
The Result
Charges against Mr. Tsang for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of traffic had been dropped and possession of substance was identified as for 'Personal Use Only'.
Unlawful Possession of Control Substance
The Charges
Mr. Navales is charged with three counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance (Heroin, cocaine and ecstasy) for the purpose of trafficking. Also charged with a prohibited firearm.
The Result
The Crown established guilt of Mr. Navales with respect 3 out of four counts.

Lawrence Myers client, Tuan Anh Nguyen, was acquitted of 6 of the 7 counts that were charged on the indictment.

NPD was accused of forcible confinement, Break and enter, Assault with a weapon or assault causing bodily harm and disguise with intent.
The Result
HELD: NPD was sentenced to one year less a day in prison for the unlawful confinement. He received one year consecutive for the other offences, to be served in the community. Crown counsel was seeking a significant jail sentence in the range of 7 years. Defence Counsel was successful in obtaining there sentencing position.

V.H. was charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Assault With a Weapon.
The Result
Mr. Myers argued that V.H. acted self defence and did not use a weapon. The Judge found V.H. not guilty on all charges.

The Result
Mr. Myers argued that F.P. acted in self defense, and despite the fact that bodily harm was inflicted F.P. did not intend bodily harm. The Judge found F.P. not guilty.
