We pride ourselves on finding swift and successful resolutions to your small claims matters. Most importantly keeping your costs in legal fees low while trying to maximize the amount of money you could be awarded.

We are capable of writing demand letters on your behalf, filing a claim, a reply, serving the other party with your claim, negotiating at small claims settlement conferences, acting for you at a payment hearing or conducting a trial in small claims court.

Below if a sample of our billing for Small Claims matters:

3 Tiers of Fees

Tier 1 (Including all Filing Fees Approx. $150 in costs)

  •  Sending Demand Letter
  •  Filling Notice of Small Claim
  •  Serving Notice of Small Claim on the Other Party
  •  Filing for default judgment or Setting for Payment Hearing, Trial or Settlement Conference.

Total Cost $1000 + Applicable tax = $1120 (Obviously a portion of this rate does not go to us but to filing fees etc. and possibly hiring a process server, also filing order for default judgment)

Tier 2 Payment Hearing or Settlement Conference (1 day)

If the matter proceeds to a settlement conference to negotiate out a sum of money owing this usually occupies most of a day.

If the respondent is found in default they are still entitled to a payment hearing. Having counsel at a payment hearing ensures you get a lot of your money back a lot quicker.

For either of these options should the file reach this status is $750 + tax = $840

 Tier 3 Trial

If the matter goes to a date of trial a day of preparation and a day of trial or more will be required. We would bill for  2 days – the 1 day of prep and 1 day of trial, regardless of duration.

 $1500 plus tax = $1680
